旅館房間最難的，是讓人進門就想把行李放下。

天花是斜的。我們順著它做，而不是把它壓平，房間因此有了方向。

洗手檯是一塊石頭，開在房間裡，不躲進浴室；銅色吊燈垂在床邊，取代床頭燈。

只住一晚的地方，也該有一處是為你亮著的。

The hardest thing in a hotel room is making someone want to put the suitcase down.

The ceiling slopes, and the room is built to follow it rather than flatten it. That is what gives the room a direction.

The basin is a slab of stone set out in the room rather than hidden in the bathroom, and bronze pendants hang low beside the bed instead of lamps.

Even a room you stay in for one night should have something lit for you.
